Happy Camper

Now that we live in AZ, we go camping a bunch.  For one it is so nice to drive up north to cooler weather, but more so that camping in Arizona is just so easy and so gorgeous!  Just the other day we drove up to Payson with zero plans, and ended up camping in a free spot with a breathtaking view of the Mogollon Rim (see link below for our home video). Can't get better than that! Well.... if I had some cool outdoorsy clothing, maybe it could...

My repeat camping outfit consists of Lululemon pants and some Diamond Supply gear I got while working in LA.  I'd say it's time to up the wardrobe for my AZ life.  I recommend comfy layers, quality socks and hiking boots, and don't forget the bug spray and body wipes ;)

Iridescent, oil slick, or just my obsession... I can't get enough, and my inner 13 year old thanks me for it! The rainbows really lift my spirits! I have a bunch of the items below, and you can guarantee that curling iron is on my Christmas list. I love this 90s revival that has managed to stick around for a while, but being a Realtor and a rather classic dresser, I like to incorporate trends and more fun in my accessories and home as much as possible. Takin' it easy in AZ

My reign in LA is quickly coming to an end, and I will be venturing on to another sunny desert land of cheaper rent and less traffic. Scottsdale! I am determined to be in the best shape of my life this year.  I think it comes from being 31 and single (wahh), but also wanting to know that I am the best I can be both physically and mentally.  I feel like I spend my weekdays working, then working out, sleeping, then repeating.  I don't generally like thinking about exercise, but I have made it more social and fun by constantly changing it up and inviting friends along.  I take Bar method, kickboxing, body sculpting, boot camps, dance classes, Yogaqua (stand up paddle board yoga), TRX suspension training, and play softball (not sure this one counts as exercise considering the beer consumption, hehe).  Since this is all I have been doing, laundry is double, and I obviously want more work out clothes.  Duh.

Winter Travel Wishes

Seriously every time I go to NYC in the winter for work, I wear the same 5 sweaters and spend my whole time envying all the stylish people.  Even though I know I am super lucky to be able to wear the same wardrobe pretty much year round because of the one season LA has, winter clothing intrigues me.  The warm boots, fur, gloves, scarves, and hats all look so cozy.  I'll probably look like I'm skiing down the street in my Patagonia jacket, but for now I wish the below were coming with me...

She Fancy, Huh?

I'm a girl; therefore, things that sparkle and shine tickle my fancy.  I am obsessed with chandeliers and mirrored furniture, and I have been itching to use this ABC chair in one of my rooms.  So why not go all out?! It's a blog, and I'm living out my fantasies on here, so take this room with a grain of salt.  It's all around fancy, shiny, metallic, but with a neutral pallet.  I personaly couldn't pull this room off, but some seriously glam single gal probably could! ;)

Keep Pretending - Room

I remember when I first saw the movie "Big", and I thought of how I would've decorated my apartment at that age:  trampoline, Pacman arcade, waterbed, graffit wall..I could go on. I've been thinking lately how I can be such a 30 year old kid sometimes.  I am responsible and independent, yes, but I play with my friends all the time and do love being silly and spontaneous.  That's where the design of this room came from - it's got a hammock, fun rug, girly colors, silly pillow, and even oversized Jim Henson quote.  Just simple, innocent, and fun.

In these days of being single, I can't help but relish in the excessive girlishness that I get to enjoy.  If someone had told me that I'd be single from this time to that time, perhaps my apartment would have this kind of look about it.  You know, there is such a small window until a man turns the entire apartment brown and tan ;)

We got a little taste of summer over here on the west coast a couple weekends ago, and baby it was good.  Now that it is chilly again, and I'm in my cozy leggings and sweaters for another week at least, I am fantasizing about my future tan and summer toned bod (wishful thinking for sure here).  If my "get hot for summer plan" continues/actually works, I am gearing up for sleeveless and minis - and bravely in WHITE. Ambitious, I know, but it's all about winning 30. ;)

P.S. My fave below is the Victoria Beckham outfit, but knowing me, I'd actually wear the Dolce Vita bootie combo instead.

Starring: The Wedge Sandal

One sunny weekend afternoon, my friend and I were having a long leisurely lunch at the mall.  We had been shopping around, so naturally we began discussing our fashion dislikes.  I think we agreed on full length jumpers being one of the hardest things to pull off, but wedged sandals put a little wedge between us.  I'm not a super huge fan, being that of the 80 pairs of shoes in my closet, maybe only 2 have a wedge.  However, she pictures a Joe Dirt/My Name is Earl kind of lady...which 90% of wedges give me the same feeling...but the other 10% kind of rock.  Today I want to show the awesome side of wedges - the beachy, bohemian possibilities they posses....not to mention height + comfort = score.

This looks like a fantastic denim shirt from Madewell, but I already got one from Lucky that is pretty darn cool, so someone else get this one! =) .  I broke my cow/longhorn-ish necklace last week....tear...and found this bolero pin on Etsy! Don't you think I need it?! Maybe I could get a ring made out of it! OOO I want it. That watch, ya'll, is a SLAP watch.  Remember those?! I would probably annoy people all day slappin' that thing on and off.   I love all things fringe and all things iPad, so that case is just dandy for me.  And I am sure you are getting sick of my posting a bootie like this one, but I am in the market for a pair, and these are quite wonderful looking!  Then I am curious about these, but Urban won't let me copy the image so pooo on that.  And the front and back images are like waaay better than the side image, so therefore just "curious"about them at this moment.  What do ya think??
