Starring: What I'd Rather Be Wearing
I'm going through one of those phases where I wish my closet had an entirely different selection of clothes, but I don't like anything in the stores, except shoes. I love all the shoes. There has to be some kind of subconscious reason. Instead of getting to the bottom of that, I will dream of really great expensive things that I can't actually buy. Healthy, I'm sure ;)

Put on LACE and take me some place!
My idea started with lace...which I have none of in my closet, but would like to find a way to incorporate it into my sporty/casual lifestyle somehow. Then, my mind wandered to vacations...I mean whose doesn't while stressing at work?! Then, the red trend started to unfold. I have been on a red kick for quite sometime, so I better see it popping up in stores sooner than later!
So enjoy my modpodge of red and lace on a vacation somewhere tropical!

Jeepers Keepers
As Halloween rolls near every year, it really sneaks up on me! I have grand notions of making my costume (I wanted to be Cher from Clueless this year), but then time totally runs out. I end up being stuck buying some over-priced, poorly made, and not so creative costume that I never want to wear again. It feels like such a waste of money.
If only our closets already had these gems sitting in them, we could be subtle yet stylish, and for sure get use of these goodies again and again....
in case you couldn't guess, it's a mermaid and Little Red Riding Hood =)

Wedding on a Lime....I Mean Dime
I hope this isn't bad luck! I am not in a relationship, so playing wedding better not curse me or anything. But, one of my best friends is getting married, and wedding is on le brain. It got me thinking about how much money a wedding can cost and would it be possible to do a chic wedding for less? I always had grandiose images of my may never happen wedding, but as I was browsing ASOS recently, I noticed they have some adorable, affordable dresses that would be perfect for a wedding party. So I accepted the challenge...and along the way fell in love with the color LIME. The fact that it rhymes with dime was just gosh darn lucky =)
Note: splurging on bride's necklace and her bouquet. It is a wedding after all!

I think I could come up with some more of these, so if you liked it...let me know!

Labor Day
It is time for a MUCH needed 3 day weekend. Holy moly work and life has been tough, so I can't wait for an abundance of ocean and pool time with my bff that is coming to visit.
In honor of the honorary last weekend of summer, I have teamed up again with Because Life is a Party to throw your outdoor Dirty Dancing themed shin dig for the weekend. Roll out the blankets, cue up the projector, whip up some old fashioned cocktails, and put on your dancing shoes.

Bold is the new Black
It has been such a beautiful, sunny summer here in southern Cali, and I have been very anti Black the whole time (unless I'm feeling a little chub, then you can guarantee I've got on black). With this nice weather and your glowing tan, bright colored dresses are begging to be worn.
I wore this Kelly green dress to work the other day, and so many people commented on it (mostly good ;) ). Had it been in basic black, I am willing to bet no one would have said anything except for noting that I was wearing a dress to a job that is totally ok with flip flops. Lest I forget, this dress cost me under $40! It was on sale at Zara and just needed to be freed of a gaudy gold chain. Such a steal!
on me: Zara dress, Rayban sunglasses, Dannijo Ring, Dry Cucumber Soda, and a veggie burrito.

I wanted to find y'all another Kelly green dress, but alas my patience ran a bit short, and I gave up. However, I have found these super rad dresses below! I love turning a supposed night time dress into a day time one. Who says you have to save your good stuff for a special event? Wear it whenever you want!

Starring: Lady in Red
I have been on the hunt for an awesome red dress. I don't care if it is for day or night, but I want it to be en fuego. These 3 caught my eye, but each in their own way inspired different looks. Even though the fancier dresses are slightly on sale (The Outnet and Farfetch), I can only afford the Susana Monaco dress. So, I decided to run wild with the accessories as well.
PS. Those TIBI shoes would go with everything! I love love love them.

Starring: Little Black Tank Dress
I have mentioned before how much I love being a fashion chameleon, but I think this post will explain further what I mean by that. First, you need to have the right basics to build from in order to be a successful chameleon. Today I am highlighting my most favorite: The Little Black Tank Dress. Many a youngin' would just wear this as is, without any layers, but that's a wee boring...and I don't quite have the body of a teenager anymore and need things to cover me up. Oye I sound like my mother!
Ok let's start with the dress...
What I like about this one is that it is fitted, affordable, and best of all a mini.
Now, let's just go for a skate around Venice Beach...
This hoodie is for a child, but I am very hopeful they make extra extra large children's sizes =)
Mom, please buy me these Vans. I NEEEEED them!**
Now, let's say I'm feeling preppy and maybe meeting my boyfriend's parents for lunch today...
One of my favorite outfits is a cropped sweater over a long button down white shirt. Never will get sick of it.
Now, it's time for a night out with the girls.
I'm feeing trendy and rock 'n roll per my usual late night style.
You may even want to tie up that blouse to define your waist a bit.
Soooo..do you see why you need this simple black dress, yet?!?
I hope so. I'm out of posts =)
** Needed so badly that I couldn't even wait until this post aired. Mom, don't buy them. =)

Wynning Wishes
I am Vegas bound this weekend, and when always packing for Vegas, I get stumped. Do I dress all "Vegassy" or do I dress like me? That question got me searching the web to find a way to be both flashy Vegas and funky me. Here's what I wish I could pack for the crazy weekend ahead!
