Down Day Outfits

We all have those days when we really don't want to get up and get dressed, but we wouldn't be caught dead in sweats and t-shirt!  Today I basically wore something very similar to the below.  Baggy sweater, skinny, jeans, riding boots, head-band, and fun necklace!
Another one of my go to outfits is a fun graphic tee, leggings, sparkly toms, tons of bracelets, and a cardigan.  I went a little more "junior" on this outfit....but I think we all have a little kid in all of us!

And  most importantly for those down days, wear your favorite under-roos!  Though no one may see them,  it definitely helps!

Today's purchases

Clearly color week started and ended with cobalt, so I will return next week with Burnt Orange and Brights!  The delay is because I have traveled to Houston for the rodeo cook off this weekend...and first on the list was a fun shopping day with my mom!

Thanks to my friend Jerren all of my friends call me "Kelephant", so I thought it was about time to represent!
Elephant necklace from High Gloss.
High Gloss is one of my favorite jewelry stores in Houston.  My dad discovered it years ago, and it has become a great tradition to go there every Christmas....and days that end in "Y" =).
Vintage bracelet ...something like 100 years old!
After spending lots of money on jewelry that I obviously needed, I headed to Cavender's Boot City because I had been dreaming about all of their fun boots since last weekend.  I went for these really fun distressed funky boots (Diva brown and black lace - someone needs to buy these still), but settled on a little more subtle, yet still fun, pair of silvery grey ones.

Have a happy weekend ya'll - Love, Kelephant

Color Week: Cobalt

If you are wondering what color is missing from your wardrobe.....it could be cobalt blue.  This color is bold but wearable and looks great on many skin tones.  It is perfect for the spring/summer to pair with your brights, but mix it with rust or navy for the winter.  This year's runway shows to prove:

Heavenly Elie Saab

This line is incredible. I would model my wedding gown after one of these designs if I could.
Dramatically romantic and flattering with gorgeous detailing.

I am not gonna lie...I am horrible when it comes to labels.  I seem to only know the tried and true, but this guy's line made me happy today!  I clearly like this red =)

Happy Birthday Tam!

My friend Tamara has awesome taste....and it happens to be her birthday!  Want to dress like Tam?  You need to start with some great vintage pieces like sunglasses or a purse.

Tonight we are celebrating my wonderful, young little friend! If I had all the money in the world, below would be my gifts to her =)

A room inspired by my roomie

I started with Charlotte's shabby chic white desk, dark wood dresser with teal knobs, and Great Gasby poster and here is what I came up with!

Texas inspired OPI....OPI and Texas inspired outfits

I couldn't be more thrilled about this collection from OPI!  I am still debating on which one to purchase, so thanks to style.com and Anna Sui's Spring 2011 line, I am narrowing down my choices!

When I think of Texas, I think of college and high school.....so of course I need to include some David Yurman and Tory Burch with these outfits.  One of the best places to get new cowboy boots in Texas is Cavender's Boot City.  And after researching, I have already planned my trip next Friday to buy myself a new pair.  I mean, I only have 5 pairs..... =)

Naeem Khan Nailed It - Fall 11 Fashion

I have been browsing through the runway shows as they are posted on Style.com and completely fell in love with Naeem Khan's line today.  It was really hard to pick my favorites, so I decided to dress my favorite stars for the Academy Awards!

....Nicole Kidman

...Sienna Miller

....Anne Hathaway ...or me ;)
