I have mentioned before how much I love being a fashion chameleon, but I think this post will explain further what I mean by that.  First, you need to have the right basics to build from in order to be a successful chameleon.  Today I am highlighting my most favorite:  The Little Black Tank Dress.  Many a youngin' would just wear this as is, without any layers, but that's a wee boring...and I don't quite have the body of a teenager anymore and need things to cover me up.  Oye I sound like my mother! 

Ok let's start with the dress...

What I like about this one is that it is fitted, affordable, and best of all a mini.

Now, let's just go for a skate around Venice Beach...

This hoodie is for a child, but I am very hopeful they make extra extra large children's sizes =)

Mom, please buy me these Vans.  I NEEEEED them!**

Now, let's say I'm feeling preppy and maybe meeting my boyfriend's parents for lunch today...

One of my favorite outfits is a cropped sweater over a long button down white shirt. Never will get sick of it.

Now, it's time for a night out with the girls.  

I'm feeing trendy and rock 'n roll per my usual late night style.

You may even want to tie up that blouse to define your waist a bit.

Soooo..do you see why you need this simple black dress, yet?!?

So ME Room

If only I could change my room to be more like this! I love these colors, patterns, mixture of modern and vintage, neon lights, and rich wood.  Not to mention the $1k cashmere throw blanket...oh me oh my.  It's also the bedroom to this living room....and not even on purpose!

I probably wear a white shirt of some kind at least 2 times a week.  I would wear them more if I did laundry more ;)

The best part of a classic white shirt and denim bottom means you can accessorize however you want: Feminine with tans/brights/and heels or edgy with chunky shoes and jewelry.  The accessories will define the outfit, but the foundation of good denim and a white top can go really far.

Sandro on Sale

I ventured out to the mall for a change, and I was so impressed with all of the awesome sale items at Sandro.  The fabric and fit are both fantastic, and I almost got 2 dresses! I chose the burgundy and white one, but the black with sheer sleeves was to die for.  Snatch 'em up at Sandro Paris and Bloomingdales.

Don't wanna say I told ya so...BUT...

I just had a feeling! If I was getting into the off shoulder look for summer, other people had to be feeling the same way.  Pics below from recent outings of Atlantic Pacific, Columbine, and Rebecca Minkoff.

Cheaper Chic

Realizing that I usually post quite expensive furniture rooms, I attempted to design one that is a little more affordable.   I wanted it to be classic, fresh, but still chic!  I personally shop at West Elm, Pier 1, Z Gallerie, and Cost Plus, so I am happy to use the stores that I know and love.
