Starring: My Spring Shopping Spree

...and this is only part of it (insert shocking emoji here)

I've got some trips coming up, so naturally the booking of the flights wasn't expensive enough, I had to purchase cute new outfits as well.  I am trying to be logical at the moment and get more classic and versatile pieces.  I tend to wear the same grey, black, and white items religiously, so it's also a good time to add some freshness in rotation.  I am little unsure on the wedges, but they were on sale.  Plus, I'm a huge fan of the across the toe strap at the moment.

I did buy the wine too =) ...haven't tried it yet, but the clerk highly recommended!

Starring: Gladiators in gladiators

I'm obsessed with the TV show Scandal right now, and they call themselves gladiators.....so I am thus calling myself a gladiator because.... yeah. There are also these sandals we call gladiators too, and they are quite popular once again this summer.  I've never gone for the really tall kind myself, but I can certainly appreciate a gal who does.  They are bold and fun....I say go for it, gladiators!

Starring: Lionette

My friend Charlotte told me about Lionette last week, and it is awesome! I always boast about Dannijo on here, but this designer reminds me so much of them and has a ton of fun, creative jewelry. The clothes are essentially a WWKD. What Would Kelly Do.  I pretty much wear the outfit on the left on the reg, but the outfit on the right is fit goal inspired.

Put on LACE and take me some place!

My idea started with lace...which I have none of in my closet, but would like to find a way to incorporate it into my sporty/casual lifestyle somehow.  Then, my mind wandered to vacations...I mean whose doesn't while stressing at work?! Then, the red trend started to unfold.  I have been on a red kick for quite sometime, so I better see it popping up in stores sooner than later!

So enjoy my modpodge of red and lace on a vacation somewhere tropical!

Copy That: Sincerely Jules

Sincerely Jules is one of my favorite fashion bloggers.  She has a great California-casual style that is effortless and polished, and always perfectly put together.  Also, I am queen of the t-shirts....if that's a thing... and will try and dress up a tee every single day. No lie. Graphic or plain white, I love a good tshirt!  Now, let's copy her.

Don't forget to check out her awesome blog >> Sincerely Jules

Starring: You Little Snake!

I have had snake prints on here many a time, but today I am spotlighting it.  It is fun and usually versatile, but I selected the bold, vibrant kind for this post.  If you click the links to shop below, note that the entire House of Holland line is awesome!

Happy New Year

Happy new year! I am welcoming this brand new year with actual resolutions for a change! I created a vision board, and I have written most of them down on paper.  Now that I've begun making these goals, I may be getting too excited and piling them high, but there ain't no harm in tryin'! My overall outlook on this year is LOVE.   I want to share love, show love, and hopefully find love.  I plan on giving more hugs, saying "I love you" more frequently, give back to those in need of more love, and love myself.  This will for sure include, but is not limited to, drinking lots of wine, shopping with my friends, buying products that give back, year round gift giving, volunteering, and eating at all the restaurants on my list while remembering exercise it off later.  Here's to making this year the best one yet!

As much as I love fashion and styling, this is more likely what you'll find me in this year.....unless the finding love part involves me needing to get dressed up ;) I suppose you'll find me swapping the jeans for a skirt every now and then!

** Ehlers wine is my absolute favorite! I will try and include others vineyards this year, but I had to start off with the best!  It is 100% organic, 100% estate, and 100% of the proceeds from sales goes to cardiovascular research.  Did I mention it tastes amazing, too?! If you haven't had it yet, put that on your new year's resolutions!

** 31bits is jewelry made from recycled paper by women in Uganda who receive not only a salary but also an education and counseling in a 5 year program.

** Feed Project - all products help fight world hunger by funding meals around the globe.

Copy That: Sweatshirts and Mini Skirts

Who wouldn't live in sweatshirts, yoga pants, and sneakers if the universe allowed it? Well, good thing graphic sweatshirts and mini skirts have made their way to street style....it's close enough, so I'll take it!

Wedding on a Lime....I Mean Dime

I hope this isn't bad luck! I am not in a relationship, so playing wedding better not curse me or anything.  But, one of my best friends is getting married, and wedding is on le brain.  It got me thinking about how much money a wedding can cost and would it be possible to do a chic wedding for less?  I always had grandiose images of my may never happen wedding, but as I was browsing ASOS recently, I noticed they have some adorable, affordable dresses that would be perfect for a wedding party.  So I accepted the challenge...and along the way fell in love with the color LIME.  The fact that it rhymes with dime was just gosh darn lucky =)

Note: splurging on bride's necklace and her bouquet.  It is a wedding after all!

I think I could come up with some more of these, so if you liked it...let me know!

Bold is the new Black

It has been such a beautiful, sunny summer here in southern Cali, and I have been very anti Black the whole time (unless I'm feeling a little chub, then you can guarantee I've got on black).  With this nice weather and your glowing tan, bright colored dresses are begging to be worn.

I wore this Kelly green dress to work the other day, and so many people commented on it (mostly good ;) ).  Had it been in basic black, I am willing to bet no one would have said anything except for noting that I was wearing a dress to a job that is totally ok with flip flops.  Lest I forget, this dress cost me under $40! It was on sale at Zara and just needed to be freed of a gaudy gold chain.  Such a steal!

on me: Zara dress, Rayban sunglasses, Dannijo Ring, Dry Cucumber Soda, and a veggie burrito.

I wanted to find y'all another Kelly green dress, but alas my patience ran a bit short, and I gave up.  However, I have found these super rad dresses below!  I love turning a supposed night time dress into a day time one.  Who says you have to save your good stuff for a special event?  Wear it whenever you want!

Copy that....but better & with daisies on top!

Inspired by my new skort, the warm summer air, and feeling quite fem, I wanted an easy yet playfully accessorized summer outfit.  I'm not usually one for a necklace AND earrings, but for such a simple top and bottom, why not? Now where's the beach party?!

Starring: Denim + White. Always Right.

I probably wear a white shirt of some kind at least 2 times a week.  I would wear them more if I did laundry more ;)

The best part of a classic white shirt and denim bottom means you can accessorize however you want: Feminine with tans/brights/and heels or edgy with chunky shoes and jewelry.  The accessories will define the outfit, but the foundation of good denim and a white top can go really far.

Starring: Off the Shoulder

I'm really feeling the off the shoulder look.  I bought 1 dress from Anthro (not pictured because the model put the dress on her shoulders...silly girl) recently and am aching for more....

I suppose I'm also feeling quite peachy, lacey, and rose gold...y

Time to brush those shoulders off...literally ;P

Wishlist: Vacation Nights & Vacation Brights

17 days till I'm off to Florida with the fam, and I am beyond stoked! However, after having a taste of heat recently, I pulled out my cute skirts and dresses to wear only to find they don't fit! Does this count as first world problems? Anyway, losing weight is a glorious thing, don't get me wrong....but for someone who loves fashion as much as I, losing a large percentage of my wardrobe is heartbreaking. After I raid a couple buffalo exchanges, and alter a few of my favorite things, these items are definitely on my wish list...

Spotlight: Pineapples

Anyone else have PINEAPPLES on the brain?  If so, it's because they are everywhere and this summer's most popular fruit.  Makes me thirsty...do you like pinacoladas, or getting lost in the rain?

Oh my these make me want to leave work now and go to Zara...
