Put on LACE and take me some place!

My idea started with lace...which I have none of in my closet, but would like to find a way to incorporate it into my sporty/casual lifestyle somehow.  Then, my mind wandered to vacations...I mean whose doesn't while stressing at work?! Then, the red trend started to unfold.  I have been on a red kick for quite sometime, so I better see it popping up in stores sooner than later!

So enjoy my modpodge of red and lace on a vacation somewhere tropical!

Winter Travel Wishes

Seriously every time I go to NYC in the winter for work, I wear the same 5 sweaters and spend my whole time envying all the stylish people.  Even though I know I am super lucky to be able to wear the same wardrobe pretty much year round because of the one season LA has, winter clothing intrigues me.  The warm boots, fur, gloves, scarves, and hats all look so cozy.  I'll probably look like I'm skiing down the street in my Patagonia jacket, but for now I wish the below were coming with me...

Weather Confused Wishes

It's cold, then it's hot, then it maybe might be cold again?  Oh LA, you keep me on my toes and make me want clothes from both seasons...

Jeepers Keepers

As Halloween rolls near every year, it really sneaks up on me! I have grand notions of making my costume (I wanted to be Cher from Clueless this year), but then time totally runs out.  I end up being stuck buying some over-priced, poorly made, and not so creative costume that I never want to wear again.  It feels like such a waste of money.

If only our closets already had these gems sitting in them, we could be subtle yet stylish, and for sure get use of these goodies again and again....

in case you couldn't guess, it's a mermaid and Little Red Riding Hood =)

Copy That: Stella Jean Spring 15

I am sure I've mentioned this before, but I hate trying to get "pretty".  This idea of getting dressed up and doing my hair and makeup to become prettier is daunting.  I like trying to get more fun!  I feel way more comfortable and happy when I'm wearing my Lite Beer tee and Star Wars vans than when I'm wearing my newest, tightest, shortest dress from wherever.  Then there comes the issue with being 30 and single..... I gotta try to be a little pretty I suppose.   Stella Jean is a newer designer who does not shy from fun, vibrant, colorful, and feminine.  She does a great job of mixing fun and pretty I must say.  Plus, I think she has figured out how to recycle that bridesmaid/prom dress you never wear....

Shall we dare to copy that?!
